What Is Tuesdays at the Village Creative Quilting Circle?

The Creative Circle is our new symbol of community and creativity here at Tuesdays at the Village.   It's a weekly gathering place — a mix of inspiration, community, and a featured item to spark your creativity

This community time will take place on Tuesdays (hence the name) along with the featured deal of the week.  Don't be surprised if the deal plays a role in our creative play from time to time.  More layers to this circle will unfold over time.

This Week’s Inspiration: Picnic Flags

These little fabric flags are such a fun, simple way to bring a touch of summer into your home. They’re quick to make, perfect for scraps, and adorable tucked into a plant, a mason jar, a picnic basket, or a table centerpiece.

I’m working on a patriotic set (sample coming in a couple of days), but you can use any fabrics that feel summery to you — gingham, cherries, florals, red‑white‑blue, or anything that says “picnic” in your heart.

How to Make Them:
• Cut your fabric into small rectangles or pennant shapes
• Finish the edges with a rolled hem, a simple turned hem, or leave them frayed for a rustic picnic look
• Attach each flag to a ¼" wooden dowel with glue or a staple
• Display them anywhere you want a pop of summer charm

A simple, happy project to bring a little sunshine into your week.
